To foster nature based education, skill development, and nature conservation, creating a harmonious bridge between individual growth and social upliftment in Sitamarhi district, Bihar.
We envision a future where children and youth grow up skillful, self-aware,
and deeply sensitive to life, equality, nature, and ecology. A future where they can sustain
themselves in their own villages without being forced to migrate, while still engaging with
people from across the world. For them, going to cities should not be the only option, but a
choice.
We dreamed of a space where children could come together and feel completely free to explore and
learn—a place where mentors do not impose rules, but gently guide.
This vision gave birth to our Eco-Friendly campus, where children develop essential
life skills by blending modern resources with ecological wisdom.
Since 2018, Shrirampur Samvad has welcomed people from India and abroad to share their
knowledge, stories, and time, while living in close connection with nature.
Our ethos is deeply rooted in the pristine embrace of nature, the very essence of our existence. We draw inspiration from the natural world to facilitate progressive human development. Every endeavor at Shrirampur Samvad Foundation is a sensory exploration, striving towards a harmonious and sustainable societal evolution.
Working with children and youth in our eco-friendly campus, we create programs that respect and reflect the interconnectedness of all life.
The Samvad Fellowship aims to offer rural children an opportunity to broaden their horizons by visiting different sites, engaging with experts across varied disciplines, and gaining firsthand exposure to a world far removed from their usual rural setup. Through this initiative, we believe we can inspire these children to dream bigger and make a lasting impact on their lives.
This initiative creates a safe and open space where rural girls can connect with traveling mentors from around the world. Together, they share life journeys, discuss health and freedom, and support one another. By simply living and learning alongside a girl from a completely different background, they begin to see new possibilities for their own lives.
This initiative encourages boys to step into the kitchen, creating space for girls to enjoy more freedom beyond traditional roles. Every Sunday, we organize a community kitchen where boys take charge of cooking for everyone. After the meal, the girls taste the food and joyfully give them marks. What begins as a fun activity also helps break stereotypes, teaching boys responsibility and nurturing equality at home and in society.
An exclusive financial space managed by children, where funds are deposited by anyone but can only be withdrawn by children following pre-set rules for their development.
A program fostering open discussions on girls' rights, covering health, education, menstruation, and marriage. Empowers girls economically and socially through skill development workshops.
A vibrant platform for children to showcase talents in diverse art forms, building self-confidence while entertaining and engaging villagers with cultural performances.
Weekly film screenings in collaboration with Empathy Connect, exposing rural children to cinema as both entertainment and educational medium.
Bi-weekly workshops teaching children about environmental stewardship, sustainable practices, and the importance of biodiversity in our ecosystem.
A social and economic tour promoting eco-tourism and rural employment generation, organized twice over the past two years.
Aājoor is the very first feature film in the Bajjika language, born from a completely unconventional process. The film was made entirely outside traditional production systems with no professional actors, no studio support, and financed through crowdfunding. Every actor and assistant came from rural community in Bihar, India, All of them experiencing cinema for the first time. More than 50 underprivileged children were engaged in the process, learning skills of acting, cinematography, editing assistance, and production work. For our rural community, Aājoor was not just a film but a school of cinema, giving young people the courage to dream and see themselves as storytellers.
A community-made film, created with rural children and youth who acted for the first time and managed the entire production.
Watch NowWe believe in the power of human connection and storytelling. One person's life journey can inspire another—especially when young minds learn through real experiences.
We invite mentors from across India and the world to engage with our youth. Share skills, stories, or simply your presence. In exchange, we provide accommodation and meals at our eco-campus.
Over 100 mentors have joined us from Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, and across India, including renowned poet Geet Chaturvedi and naturalist Arvind Mishra.
Your financial support helps us sustain and expand our programs for children and communities in rural Bihar.
